I am not a football fan but HuffPo was updating their front page with the score as I played a game, and when I saw the score come within a point of each other I paused and tuned in.

That last quarter was nothing short of amazing. Congrats to NoLa!

What condolences? It sucks, but I'd rather have seen the Saints win it rather than the Jets or the Minnesota Farves.

    Besides I still got XLI.

Although I'll be honest, CUT TIM JENNINGS! :P

I might actually try to find a download for the game here shortly, with the commercials and all. didn't get to watch cause I was working but it seems like it was a damn good game.

Does one of the Saints have the Colts logo scarred onto his arm? I thought I saw two horseshoes overlapping on his arm as he made a play.

Courtney Roby is the only one I can think of who has been on both teams.... Don't think he'd have a tattoo since he only played a couple weeks for the Colts.

Is that the kicker? Wasn't his fault. He didn't throw the interception.

nah, Tim Jennings is the little midget corner I've been bashing for a couple years now. Feller gets burnt like toast way too much.

And really, I wouldn't even blast Manning for that pick. If the defense doesn't go home after the goalline stand, then he's not in that position.

Then you missed the best part. After railing on the sideline when his kicker missed one, he ends up being the one to throw the game away. I would care much less about his interception if he hadn't thrown the kicker under the bus on camera in front of the world. He has a long and distinguished history of doing exactly that.

I don't really feel like it was his fault. Their defense was weak at the wrong times and it didn't help when the kicker missed the field goal. I'm just annoyed with him because of his outwardly visible ranting about another player making a mistake. Of course it bugs you when a team member makes a mistake, but that doesn't mean you should throw them under the bus in public. Praise in public, scold in private. How would he have felt if his team mates were on the sidelines doing that to him? He'd probably get them run off the team.

It was a bad decision by the Colts to even attempt a field goal in that situation. Did they really think that 42 year-old Matt Stover would be able to nail a 51 yard field goal? That's a tough kick for a 25 year-old, never mind a 42 year-old. They would've been better off punting and trying to pin the Saints deep in their own territory.

Peyton always throws his teammates under the bus when the shit hits the fan. "I'm trying to be a good teammate here … let's just say we had some problems with protection."

I'd let Jason Hanson attempt a 51 yarder at 40 years old any day with a high % of him making it. Poor guy, 19 years with the Lions. He must have been a terrible person in his past life.

I knew as soon as he lined up for it that Stover wasn't going to make that kick.

Maybe not, but after his assholery, I hope that's how he feels. I hate douchebags in any scenario. Except when they are cleaning dirty vag.

Hold the fuck on. He was right about that. Pittsburgh was getting to him WAY too quickly in that playoff game. The OL deserved that as far as Im concerned.

Fixed. It's like after they made that 4th down stop on the one, the Defense decided they were going home. Absolutely no pass rush (minus the guy with the gimpy ankle) giving Brees ridiculous time to pick on Tim Jennings + keeping the Colts O off the field. It's the same thing I've seen the Colts do for years (long drives+no huddle wear down the defense and then it's over).

I don't think he was pissed at Stover for missing the kick, I think he was more pissed about not getting the first down and then giving the Saints good field position with a pathetically playing pass defense than anything.
